Triband Care Services Ltd. employs a full-time Training and Development Manager. Jess Hall has worked at Triband since May 2018. She has many years of experience in health care – starting out as a part-time Care Assistant while she completed her university degree in English and American Studies. After completing this she began work in care full time as she found she had a real passion for it. Jess completed her official City and Guilds Training qualification in May 2010.
Jess loves to teach and has, herself, a real passion for learning and is constantly keeping her own training and skills up to date. She has also been acting as our COVID Lead since the beginning of March 2019 and has been actively involved with the management of the pandemic within our service – keeping all staff up to date with current legislation and guidelines, providing information and support and has recently completed her training to carry out LFD fast COVID testing.
Triband has its own fully equipped training room. We offer all staff full mandatory training prior to commencing employment and then annually (or sooner if there are any changes). Staff complete training in Health and Safety, Infection Control, Safeguarding Adults, person-centered Care – including Equality and Diversity and Privacy and Dignity, Dementia Awareness, Medication Administration, Moving and Handling, and Basic Life Support (amongst many others). All staff also have access to online training courses and have recently completed courses such as COVID-19, Social Distancing, and Respiratory Equipment Use.
All new staff are expected to complete the Care Certificate, which is the minimum expected standards for individuals who are new to the care profession. Staff are also given the opportunity to complete NVQs and Diplomas with our outside provider.
Jess is determined that our staff are trained to their highest capability, to ensure that all care we provide is of an exceptionally high standard and that all care provided follows current and up to date legislation, and is completely person centered, placing the needs of the Service User at the very heart of what we do.
